2008.08.09 After a much-needed and enjoyed vacation in Malaysia (and some time in the police-state of Singapore), I’m attending the Values in Design workshop at Santa Clara University this week. More to come about ISEA and current projects in the near future. You can download my paper from the conference, Reinterpreting networks of people as fluid for political purposes.
2008.07.09 I’ll be attending the International Symposium on Electronic Art (ISEA) in Singapore at the end of the month, presenting on some of the theoretical aspects of Fluid Nexus. After the conference I’ll be traveling around the area, especially in Malaysia. If you’re going to be in that part of the world, be sure to drop me a line!
Updates to this website coming by the end of the summer…until then check out the zeitkunst blog.
2008.03.14 I just finished participating in a workshop at the Medialab-Prado in Madrid, Spain, developing the project Fluid Nexus, an application for mobile phones that allows activists and relief workers to communicate independent of a centralized mobile phone network.
2007.11.27 I’ve posted a bit about my master’s thesis project called “Encouraging the Expression of the Unspeakable: Influence and Agency in a Robotic Creature” on the zeitkunst blog. You can download the thesis and code for the project if you like!
2007.05.13 I’m finishing my master’s thesis at the MIT Media Lab this summer and heading to Ithaca for the PhD program in Information Sciences at Cornell this fall!
